What Is Martto Friendly Reactions?
Martto Friendly Reactions is a free WordPress plugin that adds a simple clap button to your posts.
It lets readers show their appreciation with a quick clap and, if they wish, leave a message as well. The plugin also supports clap logs, statistics, and flexible button placement using a shortcode.
Version 1.3.0 introduces new circular SVG icons, customizable colors, and click animations, giving you more ways to match the buttons to your site’s design.

Five Icon Styles and Color Customization
Version 1.3.0 adds two circular SVG icons alongside the three original classic icons.

The circular icons come with five preset colors. You can also enter a custom hex color code to choose any color you like.
When you click a circular icon, an animated ring in the same color expands outward.
These options make it easier to choose button styles that suit your website’s look and feel.
Receive Messages from Readers
When message sending is enabled, a “Send a message” button appears after a reader claps.
The name field is optional. You can choose whether to display the introductory text and customize the label on the “Send a message” button.
Received messages can be viewed in the WordPress admin area, and notifications can be sent to a specified email address. If you don’t need the message feature, you can disable it in the settings.
Place It Anywhere with a Shortcode
In addition to displaying the clap button automatically at the end of a post, you can use the following shortcode to place it anywhere within your content.

Even if you place multiple buttons in the same post, the clap count, daily limit, message-sending status, and other related states stay synchronized. This lets you add buttons inside speech bubbles, between paragraphs, or wherever they best fit your site’s design.
Clap Logs and Statistics
The “Clap Log” screen lets you view the date, post, clap count, IP address, name, and message for each record. You can filter results by Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days, and display only records that include messages.
The “Statistics” screen shows clap counts by hour, day, month, or year. It also displays the clap count for the selected period and ranks up to 10 posts with the most claps.
Recently Clapped Posts Widget
The “Recently Clapped Posts” widget lets you display posts that have received claps in your sidebar or other widget areas.
Along with the post title, you can choose to display a 50 × 50 px featured image and the date and time of the clap.
This helps other visitors discover posts that readers have responded to.

Privacy
Martto Friendly Reactions stores visitors’ IP addresses and anonymous visitor keys to manage daily clap limits and message sending.
The anonymous visitor key is also stored in a cookie, which expires when the date changes according to the WordPress site’s timezone.
When a post is permanently deleted, its associated clap and message data is also deleted.
Deactivating the plugin preserves the stored data. Deleting the plugin from WordPress removes its settings and dedicated database tables.
