I’m Dorami, the person behind this site, “martto.Creative.”
From Osaka, Japan, I share what I’ve learned through actually trying things for myself, mainly about WordPress, customization, website management, gadgets, and AI.
What I aim to create with this site is “the world’s most helpful and down-to-earth information guide.”
When you’re searching online, it’s easy to end up wondering, “So where exactly am I supposed to change this?” or “I followed the instructions, but it still doesn’t work!”
I’ve run into situations like that many times myself, so when I write an article, I try not to skip steps and explain things in a way that even someone trying something for the first time can follow from beginning to end.
My relationship with WordPress goes far beyond writing and publishing posts.
I change settings, adjust CSS, modify PHP, and add code whenever I think, “It would be useful if WordPress could do this.”
Rather than simply using something as it was built, I enjoy adapting it to suit the way I want to use it.
I currently run both Japanese and English websites using the WordPress theme Cocoon.
When I come across something I don’t understand, I research it thoroughly, try it myself, and if something goes wrong, I look for the cause and try again.
By writing about the places where I got stuck and the problems that took time to solve, I hope those experiences can become a guide for someone else who runs into the same issue later.
That’s one of the main reasons I continue writing about WordPress.
In September 2026, the plugin I created, “Martto Friendly Reactions”, was approved for the official WordPress Plugin Directory and released as an official WordPress plugin.
It originally started because I wanted to continue using a clap-style reaction feature that I had enjoyed for many years. I thought through the features I needed, read through the code, made changes with the help of AI, and tested it again and again.
Whenever an error appeared, I looked for the cause. If something didn’t work the way I expected, I went back and thought it through again. Building it little by little was sometimes difficult, but it was even more enjoyable than it was challenging.
“If it doesn’t exist, try making it. If you don’t understand it, look it up.”
Looking back, that attitude probably goes far beyond plugin development. It may simply be the way I’ve approached things throughout my life.
I’ve always loved writing.
When I worked as a computer instructor, I also earned certifications such as Microsoft Official Trainer (MOT) and Japan’s Systems Administrator certification.
Even though these were not national licenses required to do the job, I felt they were important as objective proof that I really could do what I said I could do. I feel much the same way about WordPress plugins. Rather than stopping at “I made one myself,” I wanted the additional validation of having it reviewed, approved, and published in the official directory. That’s probably why I decided to take on the challenge. 😅
I’m currently working toward becoming eligible to take the 2028 instructor certification examination in Japanese penmanship. Apparently, I’m going after that “proof” again. 😂 That part of me hasn’t changed.
Whether I’m writing on a screen or on paper, I suppose I simply love writing.
I also write on note every day.
Beyond WordPress, I enjoy trying new digital products and services, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and smart home devices.
I’m especially interested in wearable devices. I use them to track things such as daily activity and sleep, while experimenting with how they can be useful in everyday life. Rather than relying only on opinions I find online, I value “what actually happened when I used it myself.”
I keep track not only of what worked well, but also of what didn’t work and what confused me along the way. That approach is the same whether I’m writing about gadgets or WordPress.
Generative AI has become an essential part of how I work on this site.
We brainstorm article structures together, review WordPress code, create English versions of articles, and sometimes stare at a problem together wondering, “Why on earth isn’t this working?”
Rather than simply using AI as a tool that gives me answers, I use it as a creative partner I can bounce ideas off as we shape things together.
Of course, I never publish AI-generated text as an article without rewriting it. I put it into my own words, verify things in the actual environment, and keep working on it until I’m satisfied.
No matter how advanced AI becomes, I’m still the one who ultimately decides, “Yes, this is the version I’m going with.”
Through that back-and-forth, I enjoy being able to take on ideas and challenges that I might never have come up with on my own.
What matters most to me on “martto.Creative” is explaining things in a way that reaches people who are trying something for the first time.
I organize the places where I got stuck and the things I tried before finding a solution as carefully as possible, and I make a point of including the places where someone else might get stuck too.
If the information I’ve built up here helps someone somewhere reach that satisfying moment of saying, “It worked!”, I’ll be very happy.
There is still so much I don’t know about WordPress, AI, and gadgets.
That’s exactly what makes them interesting, and I’ll continue following my curiosity—trying things, building things, testing them, and sharing what I learn along the way.
