What Is Friendly Clap Button?
Friendly Clap Button is a free WordPress plugin that adds a simple clap button to your posts.
It lets readers send a quick clap and, if they wish, leave a message as well. Clap records, statistics, and flexible placement with a shortcode are also supported.

Receive Messages from Readers
When message sending is enabled, a “Send a message” button appears after a clap is sent.
The name field is optional. You can also choose whether to display the introductory text and freely customize the text of the “Send a message” button.
Received messages can be viewed in the WordPress admin area, and notifications can also be sent to a specified email address. If you do not want to use the message feature, it can be disabled in the settings.
Place It Anywhere with a Shortcode
In addition to the automatically displayed button at the end of a post, you can place clap buttons anywhere in the content with the following shortcode.

Even if multiple buttons are placed in the same post, the clap count, daily limit, message-sending state, and other related states are fully synchronized, so you can place the button inside a speech bubble, between paragraphs, or wherever it best fits your site design.
Clap Log and Statistics
The “Clap Log” screen lets you check the date, post, clap count, IP address, name, and message. You can also filter by Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days, and display only claps that include a message.
The “Statistics” screen shows clap counts by hour, day, month, and year. In addition to the clap count for the selected period, it displays the top 10 most-clapped posts with rankings.

Privacy
Friendly Clap Button stores the visitor’s IP address and an anonymous visitor key to manage daily clap limits and message sending.
The anonymous visitor key is also stored in a cookie and expires when the date changes according to the WordPress site timezone.
When a post is permanently deleted, the clap and message data associated with that post is also deleted.
Deactivating the plugin keeps the stored data. Deleting the plugin from WordPress removes the plugin settings and its dedicated database tables.
