For everyone using a Fitbit tracker on their wrist and loving the Google Health app on iPhone, did you know that an important “future roadmap” was detailed in the official help documentation?🔍

“The Google Health app merely reads data from Apple Health to integrate metrics. Currently, it is unable to write data to the Apple Health app or export data. The ability to write data to Apple Health is scheduled to be added later this year.” (From Google Official Help)

Currently, it is a “one-way street (read-only)” where data only flows from 【Apple Health → Google Health】, but the official Google Health help explicitly states that “the feature to write data to Apple Health will be added later this year”! This is an incredibly exciting and happy update notice that will make future data integration dramatically more convenient, isn’t it?🎉✨

⚠️ Continuous Display Glitches in the iPhone Google Health App

“Display Glitches (Bugs)”😭

• Even though I wear it properly on my wrist every single day, the sleep score does not appear on the screen at all (it’s a fickle situation where it miraculously shows up late on random days).
• Even though I explicitly started the workout manually in the app, for some reason the history gets swapped to a manual log saying “entered by user,” and the heart rate zone graphs don’t display either.

However, when I ask the “AI Coach,” it completely knows my sleep scores and heart rate zones behind the scenes, even though they aren’t on the screen!😱💥
In other words, the screen (UI) is just slacking off on displaying it, and the data measured by the device itself is safely stored on the server.

🏁 Summary

Since these glitches aren’t currently seen on Android devices, I believe this is a bug unique to iPhones. I have already sent feedback, but there is no sign of it being resolved yet. It looks like we just have to wait patiently.
As the AI Coach knows, the data itself is securely protected on the back end (server).
Though, for free users who can’t use the AI Coach, it means they have no way of knowing at all!😒

Also, for those who are thinking “I want to integrate my data with Apple Health!”, let’s wait quietly and excitedly for Google’s miracle update coming later this year!😉
