🤖 Me vs. AI Coach: A Loveless Conversation lol
I didn’t even want to use it, but since my new Fitbit Air came with a 3-month free trial, I’ve been messing around with this so-called “AI Coach” on Google Health every day. Lol.
But honestly, the app’s usability is so terrible that I’m currently fighting off dizziness every day just trying to use it.
One day, I elegantly asked the app a simple question:
Then, the AI Coach replied with a smug, bureaucratic answer.
……Excuse me!?
Are you kidding me!!! Do I have to do this annoying process every single time!?
All I want is to just say, “I’m stretching now, let’s log it!” and be done with it!
What’s more, with this stupid “Log Activity” method, for some reason, you have to decide your “workout duration” beforehand.
Doesn’t that make you think, “It’s none of your business how many minutes I work out! 👊😡”?
Normally, you start a workout and hit the stop button when you’re finished, right? What is this nonsense!?
So I figured I’d select “Create Workout” instead, only to be forced to pick exercises from some obscure, maniacal library.
And if you dare to look for “Stretching” in there, it gives you an infinite list of stuff like “Open Book Stretch,” “Side Stretch (Right),” and “Side Stretch (Left).”
Are you messing with me!? 🌋
Anyway, the most prominent thing on the screen is this annoying “Ask AI Coach” button. Everything connects to it, and it’s incredibly irritating.
For a normal housewife who just wants to track a simple, healthy routine of taking daily strolls, stretching at home, and playing sports on the Switch, this self-centered app is 100% useless.
For someone like me, who already has their daily health habits perfectly nailed down, this pushy plan-creation feature is nothing but a massive nuisance.
🏳️🌈 The AI Coach Surrenders to My Flawless Data
But this same pushy AI Coach suddenly changed its tune and started showering me with compliments the moment it analyzed my daily data. 😁
“First, based on Dorami’s past data, I have analyzed your current baseline.
You steadily accumulate steps for 45 to 75 minutes every day, showing a highly stable foundation of activity.
– Active afternoons
You make time to move your body not just in the morning, but also in the afternoon with ‘Sports’ sessions, resulting in a great daily activity balance.
– Highly accurate sleep rhythm
Going to bed around 10:00 PM every night and consistently securing 7 to 8 hours of sleep greatly contributes to your physical and mental recovery. Based on this data and your current condition, are there any points you would like to modify or pay special attention to?”
……Excuse me? This is already enough. It’s perfect! There’s literally no room for the AI Coach to step in!!! 🤪🏆
“Are there any points you would like to modify?” Of course not!
After reading my “perfected analysis results” out loud, the AI Coach couldn’t come up with any improvement suggestions, so it just threw in the towel and bombarded me with questions as a last resort.
To an experienced user with established health habits, this is just plain meddling.
Chatting with Gemini normally is so much more fun! 💖
For this 3-month free trial, I think I’ll just keep using it as a toy to observe with a sadistic executive’s smirk!
Still, what an incredibly user-unfriendly app!
