📅 【Daily Total】Comprehensive Data Comparison (For 2026-06-03)

*Even among Fitbits worn simultaneously on the same right wrist, the Charge 6 tends to show slightly higher counts for both steps and calories burned (high-sensitivity specification). However, in the daily total data, the difference is only 264 steps and 10 kcal.

📅 【Sleep & Walking】Data Comparison (For 2026-06-04)

On the other hand, during walking, the Air counts more steps than the Charge 6. By the way, it’s a mystery every day what criteria the Watch 7 uses to calculate its Energy Score! 😆

📝 Today’s Verification Summary & Insights (2026-06-04)

  • Sleep Score Discrepancy Noticed Because They Are on the Same Wrist:
・Today as well, the Fitbit Air showed “None” for the current day’s sleep score. The AI coach says, “It is likely due to fluctuations in Heart Rate Variability (HRV)*1,” but the older Charge 6, worn on the exact same right wrist, consistently delivers a high score of “84.”
・It is highly probable that because the latest Air’s sensor has evolved too much, it over-detects specific fluctuations and completely rejects the calculation.
・I believe the Energy Score only makes sense when displayed together with the Sleep Score upon waking up, but on the Air, the earliest the Energy Score appears is the afternoon of that day. (This is strictly in my case.)
  • Sensitivity Difference in Walking Steps:
・Despite being on the exact same path of motion on the right wrist, the step count was 5,455 steps on the Air and 5,062 steps on the Charge 6, showing a difference of about 400 steps.
It appears that the Air’s algorithm is more sensitive in picking up hand movements and vibrations. However, the Active Zone Minutes (fat-burning time linked to heart rate) were almost identical at 58 minutes and 57 minutes, showing no significant difference in basic heart rate tracking performance.

*1 What is HRV (Heart Rate Variability):
It refers to the variation in the time interval between consecutive heartbeats (fluctuations). Instead of beating at a completely constant interval, the heart rhythm changes subtly depending on the situation. It is utilized as a crucial health indicator to measure autonomic nervous system balance, stress, and fatigue levels.
High HRV (Large fluctuation) state: A state where you are relaxed and the parasympathetic nervous system is dominant. Meaning: It is a sign of good health, indicating strong resilience to stress and smooth recovery from exercise. Please note when purchasing that the Air’s specifications make it highly prone to time-lag processing (a 2-day delay) under this condition.
Low HRV (Small fluctuation) state: A state of tension where the sympathetic nervous system is dominant. Meaning: It is a strong sign of being under high stress, chronic fatigue, lack of sleep, or overtraining (excessive exercise).
